These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by ScaryByte (Pty) Ltd, a registered private company in the Republic of South Africa.

1. Definitions and Scope

This agreement governs all engagements between the client and ScaryByte, including cybersecurity, advisory, and managed services. Each project or service shall be accompanied by a written proposal or agreement detailing the scope, deliverables, and timelines.

2. Payments and Billing

All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR). Invoices are issued in advance, and full payment is required prior to the commencement of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment methods accepted include EFT, debit/credit cards, and other approved gateways.

3. Refunds and Cancellations

Please refer to our Refund and Cancellation Policy for further details.

4. Confidentiality and Data Protection

We are committed to safeguarding client data and adhere to the Protection of Personal Information Act (PoPIA). Client information shall not be disclosed to third parties without written consent unless required by law.

5. Liability and Indemnity

ScaryByte's liability shall be limited to the value of the services rendered. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use our services.

6. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

7. Amendments

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Clients are advised to regularly review the latest version available on our website.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy

At ScaryByte, we strive to provide high-quality services and ensure client satisfaction. Due to the bespoke and technical nature of our offerings, the following conditions apply:

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled start of service will be eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the project cost.
  • No refunds will be issued once service delivery has commenced or when digital deliverables (e.g., reports, toolkits) have been transferred to the client.
  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@scarybyte.co.za and will be reviewed within five working days.

  • Onsite deployments are scheduled in consultation with the client and are subject to availability.
